Since it opened in 2003 the Parish Centre has become a hive of activity with something going on every day. Whitehall Active Retirement Association and Queen of Hearts Bridge Club are just two of the groups whose origins have started with the Centre. The weekly schedule of activities has something for everyone.
Whitehall Active Retirement Association or (W.A.R.A.) organise regular events in the centre.
Not To Be Missed!
They hold yearly summer and Christmas parties
In addition to this we also hire out rooms for various functions, private parties, workshops etc. The feedback we have received, over the years, from people who hire the Centre has been the height of praise for the Centre and its volunteers.
With the exception of Community Employment workers, the Centre is staffed by volunteers. Without their help it would be difficult to maintain day-to-day activities.
Another great facility at the Centre is the Coffee Shop. The Coffee Shop is currently open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 9.30am and 11.30am.
Our main source of fundraising is the Parish Centre Lotto which is very well supported. We also raise funds by selling second-hand books in the Centre.
